What Is Supported Employment?

Supported Employment is a COMAR-regulated service that provides individualized job development, placement, and ongoing support to help people with mental illness or substance use disorders achieve their employment goals. Unlike traditional vocational programs, Supported Employment focuses on rapid job search in competitive, integrated employment settings — real jobs, real wages, real community.
